Senator Randy Brogdon: Fixed Reference is Liberty

Senator Brogdon Speaks to Utah Pro-Fam Groups
Senator Brogdon, of Oklahoma, visiting Utah for the first time, is addressing us now. He was the Legislative Newcomer of the Year in 2003 and worked diligently for tax reforms.
In delineating actions and bills that have been stripping us of freedoms, Randy Brogdon indicates hope that like those in Nehemiah’s days, we begin the overwhelming task of building freedom, by just “building one wall right in front of us.” We can take freedom back, he claims, as we share one idea, raise one voice at a time. Quoting in humor and yet with purpose, Brogdon Witherspoon says, Brogdon mentioned, “One honest voice can be louder than the crowd.” While deferring about the messenger, he indicates he loves the message.
In Oklahama, the attack rages on. Senator indicates that fingerprinting on and facial imaging already exist on our license plates. He remarked, “I ran a bill to opt out of the Federal Real ID act, and it was supported.” He said that Oklahomans would be outraged if they knew they were being enrolled in not only a national but international database.
He cites another example. A bill was introduced in Oklahoma to allow the 1200-foot-wide superhighway to come up from Texas into the state of Oklahoma. It includes train lines, oil pipes,
This would be the granddaddy of imminent domain abuse. This would affect cities, towns, school districts, and farms would be split in half and isolated for miles. We took that bill and killed it 39-7 on the Senate.
I truly believe in my heart of hearts that brighter days are ahead.
In the words of another great leader, Ronald Reagan, Randy said, “I appeal to your best hopes rather than your fears. I appeal to your confidence and not your doubts.” . . .
I want restoration. I want to see Americanism restored to America today. . . It’s true the past
My fire for freedom has been re-ingnited in my soul; my desire to light my path is stronger than it has ever been. It is now our turn to restore our birthright and our freedom.
